The hosts and the staff in the Schätzbar are very nice people who make for a really pleasant atmosphere at the events - they would get five stars from me. And why are there only three stars in the rating? Because of a regular event there called a “jam session”. I've known them for a long time - and the way I experience it, it's not a jam session at all, because mostly the same clique always plays their rehearsed pieces - and only on a level for domestic use. You don't necessarily have to hear it, it's just played boring and has nothing to do with jamming = improvisation. This will disappoint anyone who is set to jam because of the title of the event, be it a musician joining or people from the audience. Only the last jam session really took place - and it was excellent! A new guitarist appeared and I asked myself how he got lost there. He played so fantastically that he would have easily fit on a stage with the greats of the guild - I have to admit that without envy, because I also play guitar myself. Such rapid runs up and down the fingerboard - and improvised! - and you don't usually get that much emotion in the game in the middle of a small village in Bavaria. But unfortunately that didn't last long. To describe it very briefly: My impression was that two people from the traditional clique probably did not fit into the stuff. In any case, the fact is that this great guitarist showed the huge musical and virtuoso gradient down to them in a very blatant way. They then turned on him loudly and stupidly after a while, after one of this clique desperately wanted to involve a singer in the game and this had not worked because he could not set the microphone correctly. One of the clique then shouted furiously that he would never play with him again - which this guitarist was certainly not sad about, given the strikingly poor skills of this amateur. What is really a shame about the whole thing: Once such a great musician comes to jam - and he is then disgusted. I don't think he'll play there again, because the bad behavior that the two of the ancestral clique showed is anything but inviting and destroys the whole atmosphere. This incident was the decisive factor for me to write this review and not to go to this “jam session” in the future. A couple of friends of mine who were there that evening also don't go there for the same reason. I've had enough of this clique, which I only noticed because of their beginner, expressionless playing and their shameful behavior towards this great guitarist. However, I will go to other events in the Schätzbar - they were always worth a visit.

Great location for live music in a cozy atmosphere

Nice restaurant with delicious souls. Cocktail and live music. We were at Planet M and that was a great evening. Was completely full and very nicely decorated. We'd love to come back😊
